(The Blue Text below is a DRAFT…
all details are still to be determined by the Joy of Giving Campaign Team.)
Last Year’s Success
Last year, our community demonstrated incredible generosity. Together, we provided holiday meals, gift cards, and essential items to dozens of local families. Volunteers came together to collect donations, organize gift drives, and distribute everything just in time for the holidays. The joy on the faces of families receiving these thoughtful gifts was priceless, and it’s this feeling that inspires us to do even more this year.
2024: Let’s Make It Bigger and Better!
This year, we aim to reach even more families. We’ve expanded our goals to include:
- Holiday Gift Drive: Collecting gifts and donations based on the wish lists of the families in need at Edmonds Woodway.
- Meal Assistance: Offering groceries and prepared meals to ensure every family can enjoy a festive meal.
- Community Support: Providing essential items like blankets, toiletries, and school supplies to families who need extra support.
But to make this vision a reality, we need your help.
How You Can Get Involved
There are so many ways to participate in the 2024 Joy of Giving campaign:
- Donate: We’re accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items, gift cards, and winter clothing. Every item counts and will make a huge difference to a local family.
- Volunteer: Help us collect, organize, and distribute donations. Whether you have an hour or a day to spare, your time is invaluable. There are roles for everyone—organizing donations, wrapping gifts, and delivering them to families in need.
- Spread the Word: Help us promote the campaign by sharing on social media, with neighbors, and at local businesses. The more people who know about the Joy of Giving, the more we can achieve together!
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is one of the most impactful ways you can give back to our community. We are looking for:
- Gift Wrappers: Bring your creative flair and help wrap the many wonderful gifts we’ll be distributing.
- Drivers: Help deliver gifts and food packages to families in the area.
- Organizers: Assist in sorting and organizing donations as they come in.
- Event Assistants: Be on-hand during our distribution day to make sure everything runs smoothly.
We welcome individuals, families, and even local businesses who are eager to give back and be a part of this wonderful initiative.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
The Joy of Giving campaign isn’t just about gifts—it’s about community. It’s about coming together during the holiday season to spread kindness and hope to those who need it most. Your involvement, whether as a donor, volunteer, or advocate, will help ensure that every family in our community can experience the warmth and joy of the season.
Join us in making this year’s Joy of Giving campaign the biggest and best yet. Together, we can create a brighter, more joyful holiday season for everyone.
