Disclaimer and Restrictions for 50/50 Raffle

Eligibility: Participation in this 50/50 raffle is open only to individuals 18 years of age or older, in accordance with Washington State gambling regulations. By purchasing a ticket, participants confirm that they meet this age requirement.

Raffle Rules: The winner will be determined by a random drawing, with 50% of the total ticket sales awarded to the winning ticket holder and the remaining 50% benefiting Edmonds Woodway High School Parent Staff Organization (EWHS PSO) programs and initiatives. The drawing will take place on Friday, September 13th during the Fourth Quarter of the EWHS Football of the at Edmonds School District Stadium. Participants must be present to win.

Ticket Sales: Raffle tickets may be purchased for $5 each or in bundles of 5 for $20. Ticket sales will begin on 2o minutes before the game and end with 5 minutes remaining in the 3rd Quarter of the Game, or as otherwise specified by the EWHS PSO. All ticket purchases are final, and no refunds will be issued.

Claiming the Prize: The winning ticket number will be announced at the event and posted on the EWHS PSO website. The winner must visit PSO Raffle station at Stadium before leaving the game to claim their prize. If the prize is not claimed, it will be forfeited and donated to the EWHS PSO General fund.

Legal Compliance: This raffle is conducted in accordance with Washington State law, specifically RCW 9.46.0315, governing raffles for nonprofit organizations. The EWHS PSO is a registered nonprofit organization, and all proceeds from this event will be used to support PSO-sponsored activities and programs. The prize amount is subject to federal and state income taxes, and the winner is responsible for any tax liability incurred.

Restrictions: Employees, officers, and board members of EWHS PSO, as well as their immediate family members, are prohibited from participating in this raffle.

Limitations of Liability: The EWHS PSO is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged tickets, or for any technical issues that may occur during the purchasing process. By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the the EWHS PSO, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability arising out of participation in this raffle or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.
