We’re more than halfway through the academic year and rapidly approaching Spring Break, and find ourselves behind in our Fundraising for the year and in the tough position of needing to turn down grant requests if we’re not able to get back on track.
Our fundraising supports Students, Staff & Administration and Parent of Edmonds Woodway Highschool.
STUDENTS
We represent more than 54% of the students who are not directly represented by the amazing Athletic Boosters or Music Boosters. Our support helps:
- Academic Competitions & Exhibitions – helping fund their travel & other expenses.
- Field Trips – helping fund the travel & other expenses
- Food, Clothing & Housing Assistance for the 1 in 25 students facing housing & food insecurity
- Grants – funding & adult volunteer needs of student groups.
STAFF
- Appreciation Events – saying thank you for their dedicated work with special events
- Grants
- Library – new books & material for projects, as well as latest fiction to enable equitable access to joy reading
- Classroom – providing materials & resources not covered by District budgets
- Presenters – enriching student experiences with engaging outside presenters
PARENTS
- Connection – Meetings, BBQs, etc.
- Voice With Administration – we help affect change with a unified voice.
- Education & Resources – we help answer your questions & concerns about providing your student the best experience in high school and beyond.
THE NEED: $6,000
We’re well behind on our annual goal and presently facing the need to reject a few worthy grants based on lack of funds. We’re hoping to change this course this week with your support of a donation of $25, $50, $60, $100 or $200…. or whatever is comfortable for you.
We have about 1,000 families at Edmonds Woodway High School… and if we can get just 25% to donate for the Spring Campaign… we would only need to average $24/donation to hit our goal. However, we know many organizations are fundraising now… so we may not get 1 in 4 families to participate. So, please give at whatever level inspires you.
Using our status as a 501c3 Charitable Organization… we provide a potential tax benefit for your donation.
